Tonnes per Centimetre /Tons per Inch If we then add an additional weight “w” to the vessel the displacement tonnage increases, the vessels draught increases, and the immersed volume also increases. If the added weight “w” is sufficient to increase the draft by exactly 1 cm. then we will have established the Tonnes required to increase the draught by 1 Centimetre or TPC Ref. Pg 24 Ch 4
