Loran n. A long range, low frequency (90-110 kHz) radionavigation system by which a hyperbolic line of position of high accuracy is obtained by measuring the difference in the times of arrival of signals radiated by a pair of synchronized transmitters (master station and secondary station) which are separated by several hundred miles.
